Yasuhiro (Charlie) Takeuchi currently serves as Vice President and Executive Officer of Hitachi, Ltd., and President and CEO of Hitachi America, Ltd. Mr. Takeuchi was previously President and CEO of Hitachi Industrial Equipment Systems Co., Ltd., where he led the company's efforts to develop sustainable and digitally connected industrial products and solutions that contribute to the sustainable growth of customers and society.
Mr. Takeuchi has over thirty years with Hitachi, having held positions of increasing responsibility in Hitachi Industrial Equipment Systems Company in Japan and the U.S. in areas including strategy, marketing, sales, and business development. Mr. Takeuchi spent ten years at Hitachi America, Ltd. in the Industrial Components and Equipment Division. In 2017 Mr. Takeuchi joined Sullair (Hitachi Global Air Power) as Chief Operating Officer and was promoted to President and CEO in 2020.
Mr. Takeuchi holds a B.S. in Economics from Nagoya University. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing and playing the guitar.
Imtiaz Shaikh is responsible for driving global HR strategy and execution across multiple Hitachi organizations in his roles as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Hitachi Digital and Deputy CHRO for Hitachi, Ltd.
In his nearly 20 years in HR leadership roles at Hitachi, Imtiaz has transformed the business through innovation and people-focused process re-engineering – from new global HRMS systems to the establishment and expansion of HR shared services. Prior to joining Hitachi, Imtiaz held project and business management roles with Cisco Systems, Providian Financial, and Netpace, Inc.
Imtiaz earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda and a Master of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from the University of New Haven. He also completed the Executive Development Program at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth University and the Executive Leadership Program at the International Institute of Management Development (IMD) in in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Masa Iwata has more than 20 years of experience in finance. Currently Iwata is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Hitachi America, Ltd. In this role, Iwata is responsible for corporate strategy and all corporate finance activities including financial planning and analysis, accounting, tax, treasury, internal control, and risk management. Iwata is also a member of Executive Committee, Compensation Committee, and Retirement Committee of the company. Iwata also serves as a board member of several Hitachi companies including Hitachi Industrial Holdings Americas, Inc. and Hitachi America Capital, Ltd.
Iwata initially joined Hitachi, Ltd., parent company of Hitachi America, Ltd., in 1995. Iwata started his career with Hitachi America, Ltd. in 2002 and has served as Division Controller of the Server business and Corporate Finance Director. Prior to his current role, Iwata was Vice President Finance and Corporate Controller of the company.
Iwata received his B.A. in Business and Accounting from Doshisha University in Japan.
Richard Grabinger is a Corporate Officer and General Manager, Head of the Regional Support Office at Hitachi, Ltd., and serves as a Board Director of Hitachi America and Hitachi Asia. He brings more than three decades of global leadership experience in enterprise transformation, strategy execution, and operational excellence across complex, multinational organizations.
Over his 23‑year career with Hitachi, Mr. Grabinger has held senior executive roles including Chief Transformation Officer for Global Operations at Hitachi, Ltd., as well as Chief Transformation Officer and Chief Digital Officer at Hitachi Astemo. In these roles, he led large‑scale global initiatives focused on strategy enablement, digital transformation, operating model modernization, and performance improvement across diverse businesses and geographies.
Mr. Grabinger’s international career spans Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the United States, and Japan, giving him deep insight into regional market dynamics, cross‑cultural leadership, and global governance. He has successfully led direct and indirect sales, business development, strategy, digitalization, and transformation initiatives at regional, functional, and global levels, consistently delivering measurable business impact in fast‑evolving environments.
Mr. Grabinger is passionate about driving sustainable growth, fostering innovation, and enabling collaboration across cultures and organizations. Outside of his professional responsibilities he enjoys tennis and golf.

Bala Krishnapillai is currently serving as SVP and CIO for Innovation and Information Technology. Bala joined Hitachi America in 2019 and is responsible for heading Innovation and Information Technology of Hitachi America Ltd. Bala is responsible for driving innovation, infrastructure modernization, and enhancing enterprise and digital solutions for Hitachi Americas Region. As the leader of IIT, Bala collaborates and supports Information Technology Strategic Division (ITSD) in formulating its global IT transformation strategies, enabling new technologies, consolidating, and optimizing services between the various Hitachi business groups. In addition, Bala provides IT enablement and support for new product development and R&D initiatives by business verticals.
Before his current role, Bala held leadership positions at Amgen and ADT Security. These roles focused on developing digital products, enterprise mobility, and IT transformation initiatives - enabling business entities to support new business models, SaaS, Global ERP implementation, Enterprise Data Warehouse, and Customer/Channel Partner Experience. Bala was one of the key players in obtaining FDA Class II & III certification for Digital Health products at a leading Biotechnology organization. During the early stages of his career, Bala led CRM/ERP teams for the Software, Telecom, and Media industries.
Bala holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science. Bala is passionate about advising IT start-ups in Digital Health product development and business operations.
Kristen Koch is Chief Human Resources Officer at Hitachi Americas, where she leads Human Resources, Sustainability, and Facilities across the region. She partners closely with business leaders across the Hitachi group companies to advance talent strategy, organiza-tional effectiveness, leadership development and cross-company collaboration throughout the Americas.
Kristen has almost 20 years of experience in human resources and has been with the company for 16 years, including starting her career here as an intern. Prior to her current role, she held leadership positions across HR business partnership, talent and HR operations, including three years based in Switzerland.
Kristen holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Notre Dame. She also completed executive education at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Outside of work, she is an avid traveler, enjoys hiking and volunteerism, and previously served on the Executive Committee as Board Governance Chair at Make-A-Wish Eastern North Carolina.
Zaheer Allam has over 25 years of product engineering experience in the wireless telecommunications, automotive, and enterprise software industries and has been a pioneer in conceptualizing, developing, delivering and selling complex, commercially viable products and services.
Currently as the Chief Growth (CGO) Officer at Hitachi America, Ltd., he is responsible for ensuring Hitachi America’s business development/coordination across the different Hitachi entities and industries in the Americas and building and expanding US government relationships and businesses.
Previously as the Chief Customer Officer for GlobalLogic Inc, he was responsible for all GlobalLogic’s business across Hitachi entities, including GlobalLogic Japan. Earlier as the Chief Channel Officer he was responsible for Business Development and Sales through GlobalLogic’s Private Equity Chanel and Strategic Alliances. Zaheer joined GlobalLogic as their Chief Delivery Officer leading all Engineering and Delivery Operations worldwide.
Prior to joining GlobalLogic, Zaheer was Chief Product Officer at Polaris Wireless, a global provider of emergency call location and lawful location tracking (US Govt 911 solution), where he built and managed their global engineering and deployment teams. Before that, he was founder, and served as Vice President of Engineering at Azaire Networks, a leader in the fixed mobile convergence space. He has also held various technical management positions at startups and large multi-nationals like Ericsson, Ricoh, Ford Motor Company, and Metricom (Ricochet).
Zaheer earned his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Madras University, a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from Wayne State University, and an MBA from Santa Clara University. He has also been awarded nine patents in the field of broadband and communications. In his spare time, Zaheer enjoys jogging, running marathons, trekking, hiking, and writing poetry.
Yuri Goto is Senior Vice President and Deputy Chief Growth Officer at Hitachi America, Ltd., where she drives Hitachi's growth strategy across the Americas — identifying high-potential business opportunities, fostering senior-level client relationships, and orchestrating cross-business-unit collaboration under the "One Hitachi" approach.
Yuri brings over 30 years of cross-industry experience spanning telecommunications, enterprise software, and digital transformation. Prior to Hitachi, she held key roles at a major telecom company and a leading global software company. Since joining Hitachi in 2008, she has held progressively senior roles in global business strategy, alliance development, and overseas projects incl. M&A/PMI.
Most recently, she served as Vice President of the Digital Systems & Services Strategy Planning Division at Hitachi, Ltd., leading global alliance strategy and cross-sector business promotion
Ayako Kurasawa is Chief Strategy Officer at Hitachi America, Ltd., responsible for directing and advising senior leadership on strategic initiatives. In her role of Hitachi’s regional strategies, Ayako is responsible for covering both strategy and operations for both Americas and EMEA regions.
Most recently Ayako held the position of Chief Strategy Officer at Hitachi Digital, where she led the development of sustainable short-term and long-term growth plans for the company. Prior to becoming CSO at Hitachi Digital, Ayako was Deputy Head of Strategy for Digital Services Sector at Hitachi, Ltd. In this capacity she directly led a team to provide M&A planning and execution functions contributing to growth and portfolio optimization of digital business within Hitachi. Ayako has been with Hitachi for close to 30 years, having worked in various regions in roles of increasing responsibilities.
Miwa joined the Production Engineering Research Laboratory at Hitachi, Ltd. in 1998 after earning his M.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from Keio University. He has led research and development in production and quality control systems, design for manufacturing (DfM), and inspection and measurement technologies across Hitachi’s manufacturing operations. From 2005 to 2006, he was a Visiting Industrial Associate in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University.
He later led innovation and R&D strategy at Hitachi headquarters, serving in both the Technology Strategy Office and the Management Planning Office within the Strategy Planning Division. He subsequently served as General Manager of the 2050 Project Office in the Innovation and Growth Strategy Division, and as Managing Director at Next Research within the Research & Development Group. Miwa has held his current position since 2026.

Arya Barirani is the Chief Marketing Officer of Hitachi Digital and Hitachi America Ltd. In these roles, he oversees brand management, messaging, and the marketing spanning the entire Hitachi business both in the Digital sector and in the Americas region. Arya has been instrumental in shaping the company’s marketing strategies and execution.
Before joining Hitachi, Arya served as the Chief Marketing Officer at GlobalLogic. During his 8-year tenure, he was key in defining and developing the high-value Digital Engineering category, contributing to the company's growth to over $1 billion in revenue. His efforts positioned GlobalLogic as a leader in Digital Engineering, leading to its acquisition by Hitachi Ltd. in 2021, one of the largest transactions in the services industry.
With over 25 years of experience in the technology industry, Arya has led marketing teams at prominent Silicon Valley tech companies, including Hewlett Packard, Symantec, Infoblox, Mercury Interactive, and Veritas. His expertise spans various technology product and services categories such as Cybersecurity, IT Automation & Management, Storage Management, DevOps and Networking. A category marketing expert, Arya excels in creating positioning, differentiated messaging and programs that aligns brands with buyer needs. His work integrates diverse marketing disciplines aimed at maximizing growth and client and employee engagement.
Arya is an active participant in industry events and frequently shares his insights on technology, marketing, sales, and client engagement through speaking engagements. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and two sons.
Chris Leslie is the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer of Hitachi America, Ltd. He is also responsible for Hitachi Digital and the Hitachi Vantara Legal and Compliance departments, including ethics and business conduct, global trade compliance. Leslie joined Hitachi in 2004. Prior to that, he spent 11 years with Sun Microsystems, Inc., with increasingly senior positions primarily in the international legal arena. Before Sun Microsystems, Leslie was vice president and general counsel of Everex Systems in Fremont, California. He spent five years in the 1980s working in Hong Kong for the international law firm of McKenna & Co. (now Cameron McKenna). Leslie is admitted to practice law in England and Wales, Hong Kong and California.
Yasutoshi Miyoshi is currently President of Hitachi South America and President Hitachi-Mycom Manutenção e Soluções Ltda. In these roles Miyoshi is responsible for overall management and new business development.
Miyoshi also serves as President of Metal-mechanic Department of Câmara de Comércio e Indústria Japonesa do Brasil since 2023 as representative from Hitachi. He is also Founder & Chairman at Primotech21 Importação e Exportação Ltda.
Miyoshi previously held the position of Chief Sales Officer of Hitachi Kokusai Linear, upon actively participating in the company acquisition concluding in 2011, and has served as a Board member of SBTVD Forum as Hitachi Kokusai Linear. Miyoshi is also President and Vice-President of Electro-Electronic Department of Câmara de Comércio e Indústria Japonesa do Brasil. Miyoshi has worked on several important acquisitions and in diverse industries throughout his career.
In his spare time, he enjoys crafting, carpentry, cooking as well as time with family and pets.
Mikio Otsuka has been with Hitachi since 2017 and is currently Managing Director, Hitachi México, S.A. de C.V. Mr. Otsuka is responsible for regional corporate activities in Mexico and Central America.
Prior to joining Hitachi, Otsuka worked for Investment funds for 15 years such as Aoba Investment Management (Japan, Singapore, and Malaysia), GMAC Japan and LaSalle Investment Management, Japan as Executive Officer. In addition, Otsuka worked for Kajima Corporation for 10 years in real estate investment and development (Japan, United Kingdom, Germany, and Hong Kong).
In his spare time Mr. Otsuka enjoys playing golf, having the role of chairman of golf association in Mexico for Japanese players. Mr. Otsuka also enjoys traveling and eating local cuisine.
