Hitachi Global
Policy Priorities

State Engagement

The public and private sectors should partner together to confront society’s most urgent challenges. Hitachi is proud to do business with state and local governments, as well as with the U.S. federal government and government contractors.

Commitment to the U.S. Market

Since establishing a regional subsidiary in the United States in 1959, Hitachi has been a committed partner in the American experiment, helping to broaden the economy and enhance society. For over 60 years then, we have fueled innovation that has made U.S. exports more competitive abroad and small businesses within our local supply chains more resilient. Our continued reinvestment in the United States has also resulted in 16 major R&D centers that support high-skilled jobs in manufacturing and technology. Today, we are partnering with numerous Fortune 500 companies, prominent medical centers, and governments at the local, state, and federal level to lead the way in developing Social Innovation solutions.

Hitachi’s sustained commitment to the United States is why we are working with lawmakers to adopt policies that are conducive to co-creating a brighter future.
