Hitachi’s eMobility Start-Up Challenge invited seven innovative start-ups from around the world to explore new ideas that can make mobility smarter, cleaner, and more efficient. More than 80 stakeholders came together, motivated by one clear objective: to accelerate the future of sustainable Mobility.
The challenge was led by Hitachi’s Strategic Social Innovation Business Unit (SSIB) and Corporate Ventures, two teams focused on identifying viable partners and accelerating innovation.
A sustainable mobility future can’t be achieved by a single organization; it requires true collaboration. This challenge united pioneering ideas from start-ups with Hitachi’s global scale to unlock new potential for cleaner, smarter mobility.
More than a competition, it served as a catalyst for innovation and collaboration. The real power came from a shared belief: we can create impact faster when we build the future together
Start-ups were invited to present solutions in two key areas which are shaping the future of eMobility:
Innovation in fleet electrification
How can we innovate business models and scalable electrification for fleets and depots?
Battery lifecycle management & manufacturing
How can we maximize value across the battery lifecycle?
This is only the beginning, we look forward to continuing the conversation with our winners and several other other promising start-ups as we explore how their ideas can evolve through Hitachi collaboration.
Together, we are pioneering the future of mobility.
