Lumada Innovation
Hub Tokyo

Lumada Innovation Hub is a hub where Hitachi and its partners share each other’s knowledge and technologies to continually create new values.
It is a crossroad between the real and the digital worlds and serves as a venue for open innovations—where a wide range of people gather either face-to-face or online and combine various knowledge, knowhow, and technologies to create new values.
The hub enables connecting with experts and specialists in different fields on-demand, making it possible to promptly solve issues and realize large-scale goals.
Lumada Innovation Hub Tokyo was opened in Marunouchi as the flagship base for these co-creation activities.

Kyōsō-no-Mori

Aiming to become a beacon for innovations

Hitachi established the “Kyōsō-no-Mori,” a research and development base, within the Central Research Laboratory in Kokubunji City, Tokyo to accelerate the creation of innovations. At “Kyōsō-no-Mori,” we will work to deliver innovations through the fusion of knowledge and technology using our co-creation approach and open engagement with stakeholders to contribute to the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Society 5.0.

Aiming to build an open co-creation ecosystem

At “Kyōsō-no-Mori,” we will share our vision for the solution of social issues with partners and customers from around the world and explore new business opportunities through ideation and hackathons. We will create business scenarios through quick repetitions of hypothesis-testing cycles based on rapid prototyping and ideation using the NEXPERIENCE co-creation approach and Lumada and based on IT- and OT*-related technologies developed by Hitachi through the years. Through these initiatives, we will accelerate the creation of global innovations, and contribute to the realization of a sustainable, human-centered society that offers high QoL, and at the same time pursue the transformation of workstyles.
