Tokyo, July 31, 2026 ー Hitachi Group extends its deepest sympathies to all those affected by the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake.
Hitachi Group today announced that it will donate a total of 50 million yen (Approx. 313 thousand U.S. dollars) to Kumamoto Prefecture and other recipients to support relief and recovery efforts for those affected by the disaster.
In addition, based on conditions and needs in the affected areas, Hitachi Group is working with local governments and related organizations to provide necessary assistance. Shipments of essential relief supplies, including drinking water and portable toilets, are being made on an ongoing basis.
As part of efforts to address extreme heat, Hitachi Group is delivering spot coolers that can be used without installation work as well as commercial air conditioning units, while preparing for the installation of the air conditioning units, with installation work expected to begin promptly.
Hitachi Group wishes for the earliest possible recovery of the affected areas.
