Hiroshi Arita, Chief Engineer, Products Planning Division, Shimizu Home Appliance Group
Mr. Arita majored in electrical engineering at university, and was first engaged in the development of spot-type air conditioners after joining the company. While the air conditioning field, which utilises thermodynamics, was not his specialty at university, he felt comfortable with it, as he had a love of machines and Monozukuri (manufacturing). He has been in charge of the development and design of the Eco Cute since 2003.
