Hitachi High-Tech scored the highest Supplier Engagement Assessment rating from CDP and was selected as a Supplier Engagement Leader
For the first time in the same fiscal year, Hitachi High-Tech scored the highest ratings, in addition to its top scores in Climate Change and Water Security
Tokyo, July 10, 2025 Hitachi High-Tech Corporation ("Hitachi High-Tech") has recently scored the highest rating in the Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA) performed by the CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project, headquartered in the UK), a non-profit organization that conducts environmental research and information disclosure globally, and has been selected as a Supplier Engagement Leader. Approximately the top 10% of all companies who responded to the CDP's questionnaires were selected as Supplier Engagement Leaders.
Hitachi High-Tech works together with our procurement partners to reduce greenhouse gas ("GHG") emissions throughout our entire supply chain, and we have been highly rated for our various initiatives. In February 2025, Hitachi High-Tech was also selected as an A-List company, the highest rating available, in the Climate Change and Water Security categories. This is the first time that Hitachi High-Tech has achieved the highest ratings in the same fiscal year for the areas in which we collaborate with our procurement partners.
Working from our business characteristics and management foundations, we identified what social issues we should work to solve and have set five Sustainability Focus Areas (Materialities)*1 where we will contribute to realizing a society where these social problems are solved and sustainability is enabled through our business activities. We also formulated the "Sustainability 2030" Declaration*2, which clarifies our vision, in order to accelerate corporate management that addresses social issues and to raise awareness of the need for each employee to individually consider the work they do and how it ties to solving these issues, and get involved in creating and providing value.
Going forward, we will continue to promote initiatives that link sustainability to all of our businesses, and contribute to realizing a sustainable society, including in measures for tackling climate change.
