Environmental Activity Reporting Policy

Hitachi Group annually reports on environmental activities by issuing a Hitachi Group Environmental Sustainability Report and on our Web site.
On our Web site, more detailed information, as well as a list of ISO14001-certified sites, are available.

About Hitachi Group Environmental Sustainability Report 2009

  1. Scope of data
    Period: Mainly fiscal 2008 (April 1, 2008 through March 31, 2009)
    Companies: Hitachi, Ltd. and 944 consolidated companies
    Scope of data: Hitachi, Ltd. and 241 consolidated companies (accounting for 90 percent of the environmental load of the Hitachi Group, including electricity used and waste generated)

We report about annual CSR activities by issuing the Hitachi Group Corporate Social Responsibility Report 2009 Digest and publishing the Hitachi Group Corporate Social Responsibility Report 2009 on our Web site.
Hitachi Group business groups and companies also issue their own CSR and environmental reports. As well, they publish their environmental activities on their Web site.
