To minimize its impact on the environment, Hitachi’s Ultra thin LCD TVs have been re-engineered from the inside out using pioneering technologies, The Advanced specifications cut energy consumption; its thinness reduces exterior components and packing materials. Thinner forms and lighter weight mean greater shipping capacity, and lower CO2 emissions make out Ultra thin LCD TV and energy efficient product. Energy-saving and environmentally-conscious products have also been developed in the home appliances field. These include air conditioners and refrigerators which make up a substantial portion of domestic power consumption. The aim is to contribute to reducing annual power consumption through technological developments in various appliances. Active efforts are being made to facilitate the recycling of consumer electronics products and Hitachi has a strong awareness of this issue. Hitachi also aims to bring about a recycling-oriented society by contributing to energy savings and lower CO2 emissions through resource recycling. This includes creating high-grade valuable items and recovering chemical substances that may affect the environment.
