Better energy efficiency in plants and lower environmental impact in logistics systems and industrial equipment

Hitachi contributes to energy conservation and CO2 emission reduction in plant equipment in various industries with its drive system solutions and services including its highly efficient AC drivers and motors trusted in a wide range of applications. On the other hand, efforts for CO2 emission reduction in logistics are made by a “modal shift” to change transportation systems from existing trucking to energy-saving low-pollution mass transport systems including railroad and maritime transportation, as well as by the active introduction of fuel-efficient low-emission eco-cars. Activities associated with construction machinery have realized noise reduction, a high level of recycling, and better fuel efficiency achieved by taking advantage of the synergy between a newly developed hydraulic system and next-generation engine to speed up operations.
